Ex-President Roosevelt, with Airs Roosevelt and their daughter, are staying at the palace in Khartoum. They inspected'" the battlefields round the city, and Air Roosevelt addressed tho students at the Gordon Alemorial College (a building erected ■ah the result of an appeal by Lord Kitchener)- Mr Roosevelt said he was greatly impressed with the wonderful results of British rule. He was particularly struck by the appearance of the palatial houses and gardens of Khartoum.
