LYTTON STREET SCHOOL
MONTHLY' AIEETING
The usual monthly meeting of the Lytton St School Committee was held last night, Messrs E. Goodbehere (Chairman), S. 'Andrew, and J. AY. Bramwell being present. Circular letters wore received from notifying a reduction of the maintenance grant from the Government by one third; also, the cutting off of_ the special grant to Schocn Committees of 9d per pupil. It was resolved to confer with the head master with reference to tho establishment of a "School First Aid Fund" as suggested by Air G. D. Braik, Chief Inspector. \ The secretary was instnueted to apply to the Education Board for an Ensign for the school flagstaff. The Head master reported the number of scholars on the roll wero 262, with an.average attendance of 237. _ The matter of a school excursion was discussed but further consideration was deferred till the High School Committee decide upon its proposal regarding the outing. - Tlie meeting then terminated.
