FEILDING FIRE BOARD.
A TIfiNDUIt FOR THE STATION ACCEPTED.
A meeting of the above Board was held this morning. Present: Messrs E. Goodbehere (Chairman), AY. J. B. Trewin, A. AViUiamson, C. A. Ewen aud J. J. Mallard. Air Sayweil, Superintendent of the Fire Brigade, also attended. GORRESPONDEN CE. Correspondence was dealt with as folows: — From Commercial Union Assurance Co. forwarding regulations made by the home .secretary under the "Cinematograph Act" now in force in Eng-. land—To be forwarded to Borough Council and -recommended they be incorporated in the live Laws. ' From Fire Brigade recommending Air James Dridke as a member of the Brigade and notifying resignation of Air F. Groombridge owing to leaving, the district.- Accepted. From .Minister of Internal Affairs stating that bye-laws of the Feilding Fire Hoard will he gazetted when ap-proved.--Received. From Air T. F. Hugo, Inspector of Fire Brigades, advising Board not to proceed with the purchase of long ladders owing to their being unsatisfactory. It was stated that the ladders, as now manufactured, were satisfactory and it was decided to confirm the original order. Accounts amounting to £32 18s Del were passed for payment. ' THE TENDERS. Tlie following tenders were received for the erection of the Firo Brigade station:—T. A. Lyons £1264: T. Collins £1281 12s; .Theo. West £1367: W. Wilkinson- £1390. The tender if T. Collins was accepted.
