PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. THE LEASEHOLD PARTY. Christchurch, March 10. Fourteen members of Parliament are attending a meeting (in camera) here to-day to consider the course of action to be taken during the coming session of Parliament in defence of the leasehold views. Apologies for absence were received from twenty members. A BARMAN'S SUICIDE. Auckland, March 10. Samuel Lidster, barman at the Warkworth Hotel, committed suicide. His body was found in the river. The condition of the corpse showed that Lidster had appa-rently attempted to cut his throat and then jumped into the liver.' He had been suffering from influenza, and was for some time under medical treatment.
