THE MEETING AT TRENTHAM
TO-DAY'S SHOOTING
Shooting started at 7.30 o'clock this morning at the 900 yards range of the Otago Match and the 600 yards range of the Wellington Match. The weather is bright, with a slight drift wind and a difficult "mirage," causing shots to go high. Highest scores completed in the Wellington Match . are: Baker (Wellington), Fisher (Wellington) 96. Smith (Hastings), King (Christcliurch) 95, Moslem (Kaeo), and Piggott (Australia), 94-.
Frank (Nelson) is leading in the aggregate. He scored 47 and retains his place.
In the Otago Match the bust scores are: Moye (Deimiston) 94, Morgan (Napier) and Olsen (Eketahuna) 93, Patrick (Auckland), McCalley (Australia, and Ayson (Murihiku) 92. Ayson scored a possible.
The Wellington Match was won by Fisher (Stoke), ■ 96, - with Parslow, Baker, and James. (Nsiji-iiM , ) in that order, 96 each.
