February's Show.

The near approach of the Feilding A. and P. Association's sixth annual Show, to be held on February 1 and 2, is indicated by a copy of theschedulo. neatly printed at, the Star Office. The Secretary (Mr E. H." Fisher) is drawing the attention of tho agents of publicity to the now features in the schedule as well as to the general and comprehensive scope of the classes offered to competitors. In the horse section Mr H. E. Hocken is offering a three-guinea gold medal and the Association a certificate for the champion draught marc. In the pig section ten new classes are added — five for Tarn worths an<l five for Devons. The ladies of the town and district, who helped to make tlic homo industries section such a feature of last February's Show, will be, especially interested to note that a committee of the Association has largely increased the prizes for home-made bread, brown as well as white. This department should be a record one at the next Show, .because exceptional interest was aroused in the last display, and the Committee is offering every encouragement to our housekeepers to enter. If only the lady supporters of the Association will interest their friends in it — and if the ltongotea contingent that competed at this week's show -frill enter — the home industries department of Feilding's sixth Show will ibe something that will be talked of right down through the months.
