The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report for the week ending March 26 : — At Rangiwahia, on Tuesday, a good number of sheep came forward and an almost total clearance was effected. The demand was much better and a healthier tone prevailed. Quotations: S.M. ewes, 8s 3d; cull ewes, 2s 9& ; 2th ewes, lls ; mixed age ewes, 7s; mixed lambs. 5s (fd. 6s 4d, 6s 6d; 2-tooth wethers, 9s; 2 and 4tooth wethers, 9s to 10s. At Kirabolton on Tuesday there was only a small yarding ami sales were effected at the following pries: 4, 6 and f.m. ewes, 10s Id; lambs, 6s 8d; 2-tooth wethers, 9s 2a. At Mr Spurway's sale on Thursday there was a good attendance of buyers. The quality of the stock was above the average, being heavy woolled Lincplns. We quote: Sheep, medium lambs, os 9d; forward lambs, 7s ; agd ewes, 5s 6d, 6s Id. 6s 6d, 7s to 7s 6d; 4 and 5-year ewes, 10s 6d; 2-tooth ewes, 10s 6d; 2-tooth wethers, 10s. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their feilding sale yesterday: — We had a medium yarding of sheep, but A small one ot cattle. There was a (large atendance. Messrs Gorton and Son report : — At our weekly sale yesterday at Feilding we had. a large yarding of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle. The attendance of buyers was satisfactory, and prices for all classes of sheep with the exception of fat lambs were good. Fat lambs were dull of sale. Wethers showed an advance on recent quotations. Cheviot rams If to 2 guineas, Shropshire rams 2$ guineas. Goats 10s, lls 6d, and 13s. Cattle: Mixed weaners 12s 6d; fat cows £4 4s, Jersey cows m milk £3, £3 15s, £7 7s 6d, and £8; bulls £2; store cows 15s to 30s. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report:— At our Feilding sale on Friday 26th inst., a medium yarding of sheep and cattfle came forward, all of which were quitted with the exception of one small pen of cattle at prices as below:— Medium lambs 6s 3d. mixed age ewes 6s 2d, 7e, 7s 6d, to 7s lOd, 2-itooth ewes small 10s 9d' 4-year ewes 10s 9d", lls Id, lls 6d, 6-tootli ewes to 12s 9d. A very nice line of 2-tooth Romney ewes realised 15s lOd, 2i-year steers £3 10s, speyed fat heifers £4, speyed fat cows £4.
