CHEAP EXCURSION TRIPS COMING. £PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, February 9. As an outcome of the Hon. T. Mackenzie's visit to the Sounds, and his overland journey, a cheap trip will probably be arranged for the benefit of persons who have only a moderate amount to spend The suggestion is made that the futanckai might have her hold fitted with bunks and carry round a party at about £4 or £5 a head, in which ca.se the whole journey, including expenses on the traciv and rail to Dunedin. would easil- come within the scope of a £10 note or less. Later, the experiment will doubtless be tried, either with the Tutanekai or some other vessel.
