An Austrian patrol at Zelinge, Bosnia, while returning fire on some Servian peasants or soldiers on the opposite side of the river Drina, killed two aggressors. Constantinople, December 29. The Turkish Government has informed M. Pallavicini that it is not intended to give a written reply to Austria's Note, but to continue pourparlers with Baron von Aerenthal, through the Ottoman Ambassador.
