NORTH ISLAND MEETING. HENRY WINS THE CHAMPIONSHIP. [PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wanganui, December 28. The North Island Championship meeting concluded to-day. The weather was fine overhead, but there was a tricky wind of 8 to 18 degrees, and gusty. Rifleman Henry, of Opaki Rifle Club, was the winner of the championship. He shot very consist tently, winning three of the four championship matches. Deihl, of Dannevirke, who came third, is only twenty-one years of age. Opaki won the teams' match for the third time in succession. THE GRAND AGGREGATE. Nix, with six hits, was one of the leaders in the Service Rapid-firing Match, each of whom won 50s. Majrhew was amongst those who got in four hit*.
