MANAWATU STUD COMPANY'S YEARLINGS.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report a successful sale of the Manawatu Stud Company's yearlings. There was a good attendance and, although bidding was not brisk, business was done at fair figures, only two hrses being passed and they will no doubt find new owners in the course of a day or two. The prices obtained were: — Brown colt, by Sir Laddo (imp.)— Purity passed at llOgjs and sold immediately after to Sir George Clifford at 150gs. Bay colt, by Sir Laddo (imp.)— Jessie, Mr L. Rose Jaggar, 20gs. Chestnut filly, by Sir Laddo (imp.) —Windlass, Mr Farmer, 40gs. Bay colt, by Sir Laddo (imp.)— Melusina, passed. Bay colt, by Sir Laddo (imp.)— Wepener, Mr F. Dorset, 30gs. Chestnut filly, by Sir Laddo (imp.) — Rufine Mr L. Rose Jaggar, 80gs. Bay filly, 2yrs. by Pilgrim's Progress — Stepaway, passed.
