SOME RONGOTEA CASES. Messrs W. J. B. Trewin and R. Burne, J.'sP., were on tho Bench this j morning, when Adolph Fick pleaded not guilty to a charge of allowing his horse to wander on the streets at Rongotea. Constable Martin, deposed to t the offence, stating that accused's son claimed the horse. Fick went into the box and sworo .that ho had four and a half acres and six cows ; he had once possessed the horse, but had paired with it some timo ago. His boys took the milk to tlhe factory on a hand trolley. The caso was adjourned till April 3, for tho production of further evidence. William Foster* was charged with allowing horses to stray in the streets of Rongotea, and pleaded guilty, stating that the Manawatu County Counoil threw their roads open for three or four montlis of the year, and his stock sometimes strayed into Rongotea, but were always driven out again in three or four minutes. A fine of 10s was imposed, with 16s 6d costs.
