LAND BOARD.

YESTERDAY'S MEETING. Tho Wellington Land Board met yesterday. Applications for titles were granted as follows: — Sections 9 and 4, block 14, Ohinewairua, A. M. Ryan; section 63, block 10. Kaitawa, H. Walton ; section 20, block 3, Hautapu, P. Murphy; sections 42 and 39, block 3, Hautapu, J. McCarton; section 28, block 3, Hautapu, A. F. Gibbs; section 11, block 10, Hautapu, J. J. Wright. Mrs J. C. Vickers applied for tho freehold title of seotion 6, block 10, Kaitawa, and paid the valuation fee. — It was resolved to appoint the ranger as appraiser to make the valuation required. J. A. Mac Donald applied for the freehold title of section 48, Mangaweka Village Settlement, paying the valuation fee. — The ranger was appointed to act as in the previous case. The Board agreed to the following sub-lease: — Section part 1 of 46, blocks 3 and 7, Pohangina, F. Richards (deceased) to H. W. Smart. Transfers as follows were approved on the usual conditions; — Section 5, block 7, Tiriraukawa, E. L. Wilkes to T. J .Broome; section 15, block 1, Umutoi, Richardson and Roucher to R. Richardson,- section 14, block 1, Umutoi, M. Power to L. Roucher; section 14, block 1, Hautapu (subject to improvements), H. J. Haggie to T. A. Hyde; section 5, block 14, Oroua, F. Hodgson to H. E. Maclean ; section 26, block 4, Apiti, Mrs J. B. Pemberton to L. M. Mclntyre. Further applications for transfer Ayere received and dealt with as follows: — Sections 193, 194, and 195, Raetihi Village Settlement, G. S. Gould to Miss Gilson ; section 13, block 3, Hautapu, J. * Quinn to T. A. Hyde. — Approved. Section 13, block 4, Tararua, W. Rangimauriora to E. J. Whyte. — Approved conditionally. Section 36, block 7, Tararua, E. J. Whyte to Thomson and Petersen. — Approved • The Commissioner reported that a road had been properly closed upon the boundary of section 3, block 2, Hinau, and it was resolved to amend the title accordingly by adding the area of the closed road and to amend the rental also. J. H. Nixon, wrote in regard to his non-residence on sections 266, 267 and 268, Raetihi Village Settlement, and it was resolved that if he erected proper saleyards the Board would be prepared to favourably consider his application for exemption from the residential clause.
