Before the High Court an ex parte application was made to restrain the New South Wales Government from dealing with wire netting. The Chief Justice said he could not hear the matter ex parte nor was it one in which an interim injunction , should be granted. The matter stands at that. W. P. CRICK DEALT WITH. Sydney, August 23. The Pull Court struck W. P. Crick off the roll of solicitors in connection with the finding of Mr Justice Owen in the I^ands Commission inquiry. CERTIFICATE SUSPENDED. The Court has suspended the certificate of Captain Legge, master of the Ysabel, for 12 months, and that of Finch, mate, for 18 months, for not keeping a proper lookout at the time of the wreck. THE KAWATIBI. Hobart, August 24. The Court found that Captain Crawford was justified in attempting to enter the harbour, and no blame is attached to him or his officers for the loss of the Kawatiri. It expressed satisfaction with the captain's conduct after the vessel struck. ABAWATTA-INGEBORG COLLISION. Brisbane, August 21. At the collisi&n enquiry, the boatswain of the Arawatta, in cross-ex-amination, deposed tha.t one of the crew of the Ingeborg came to him and said that fit the captain would guarantee £100, he would exonerate the Arawatta. He also told witness that the Ingeborg had no lights after leaving New Zealand, and the only candle in the lighthouse was made fast with a bit of string.
