THE KIA ORA.
V EIGHT REPORTED MISSING. Ink puss Asaoouzum.j Auckland, June 19. Inspector Cullen has received a telegram from Constable McCarthy, at Kawhia, in which the latter estimated that eight persons were drowned in the wreck -or the Kia Ora. So far no bodies have been recovered. It has been decided to hold an inquiry into the wreck of the Kia Ora at Auckland. It was thought at first that it would be held in New Plym6uth, but as most of the witnesses are here, it has been decided to hold it in Auckland. The date when the inquest will be held has not yet been fixed.
