Dalgety and Co. report that at tleir fortnightly sale at Masterton yesterday wet weather prevented several advertised lines from coming forward, and for the same reason there was not the usual number of buyers. Bidding fcr sheep was not brisk. Cattle were chiefly lepresented by fats of nice quality, which sold freely. Store hoggets reached 12s 3d, culls 9s 9d, store wethers 16s 9d, fat heifers 100s to 112s, fat cows 995, forward cows 72s 6d, light bullocks 140s, empty cows 30s, weaner steers 22s 6d. Abraham and Williams held a very successful sale of dairy stock on behalf of Mr D. O. Shute at Manakau yesterday. The cows were in moderate condition, .and sold freely. Cows, to calve early £5 10s to £7, later dates £4 15s to £6 15s, cows in milk and calving late £3 10s to £4 10s, springing heifers (small) £3 15s to ,£4 15s, late calvers £2 7s 6d to £3 'ss, eighteen-months steers £2 7s, small heifers 225, weaners Qqm condition, mixed sexes) 14s, sows witli litter £2 lis, sows to pig £2 Is, stores lis 6d. Dalgety and Co. held their fortnightly sale at Stortford Lodge yes terday. They presented a good yarding of sheep 'to a large attendance of spectators. Bidding was slack for store sheep, and it was difficult to quit wethers at market rates Forward wethers sold up to 20s, fat maiden ewes 17s, two-tooth ewes in lamb 15s 2d, small cull Jambs 4s 9d
