Three horses fell in one race, one having to be shot. The jockeys Cosgrove and Trainor were injured. Mr Mac Donald, an amateur rider, had his collarbone broken in another event, while Hogan, a well-known jockey was killed by a fall in the Bolinda Steeplechase.
