MARKET REPORT.
Messrs Abraham and Willianis ; Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows : —There was a fair ontry of bullocks of prime quality, which sold frc-ely. Quotations: Best bullocks, £9 to £9 7s 6d; others, £8 10s to £8 17s 6d; small prime bullccks, £7 15s to £8 ss; medium cows, £3 6s. A heavy yarding of sheep of prime qualit ycame forward, including some extra prime ewes, which, were selling equal to late rates. Heavy wethers brought 20s 3d to 20s sd; others, 18s 6d to 18s 7d; •halfbred light wethers, 16s lid; best ewes, 17s 4d ; others, 16s; halfbreds, 15s 10s. Dalgety and Co. report:— At our fortnightly Pahiatua sale the weather was very severe. We submitted a good entry of sheep and cattle. Bidding for sheep was brisk, only one line failing to sell. The cattle were disposed of in the majority of cases. Two and 4-tooth wethers 16s 2d to 16s 4d, fat and forward empty ewes 14s 5d to 15s Id, forward ewes 12s to 13s Id, mixed hoggets 10s to 10s 9d, good ewes in lamb 18s; forward bullocks 131s. 3-year steers 90s, fat heifers 80s, fat cows 77s 6d to 90s, store cows 535, cows in calf 495.
