STOCK REPORT.
Messrs Dalgoty and Co., Ltd., report on their Palmerston sale as follow*:—W eyarded about 1600 sheep, which met with a fair sale at prices as below:— Medium lambs, 11s Id; small ewe lambs, 10s 3d ; small wether lambs, 8s 7d ; empty ewes, lls 9d. A fair yarding of pattle met with a dull sale. Three and a half to four-year bullocks in good order, £6 15s; fat heifers, £4. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Ageicy Co., Ltd., report as fellows: — At Palmerston North on Thursday we had a full yarding of cattle, but only one pen of sheep came forward. The demand for grown bullocks is easier, but other lines sold well, and practically all lines were sold. We quote:— Sheep— Forward ewes, 12s 7d. Cattle: Weaners (small), 7s 6d to 9s: good, 17s to 255; store cows, 27s 6d to Site; forward cows, £2\4s to £2 17s 6d; fat cows, £3 14s to £4 ss; 20-month steers, £2 15s; twoyear steers, £3 Bs. At McEwen's sale of dairy stock on Wednesday a good sale resulted. There was a good attendance of buyers, and all Tines were well competed for. Dairy oows— Early calvers made from £3 10s to €7; late calrers £2 to £3 ss,- store oows, 25s to 35*. Sows, £2 2s 6d to £2 12s 6d; porkers, 14s to 17s 6d.
