Abraham and Williams, Limited, Feilding office report on Messrs > Smith and Millen's clearing sale, held at the former's farm, Colyton, yes- " terday, as follows : —There was a large attendance of buyers, and all classes of stuff met with ready sale. > The sheep were a particularly fine lot of Romney ewes in tip top condi--1 tion. Mr Smith's herd of dairy cows were much admired, and exci--1 ted keen competition,, averaging £6 12s 6d. Prices ranged from £5 5s * to £8 10s. His picked 20mos dairy heifers realised £3, weaner do, 255. > Quotations on account of Mr E. Smith. — 2, 4, 6th Romney ewes in • lamb to Romney rams, 24s Sd; f.m. ditto, 19s 4d; 2, 4, 6th Romney ewes in lamb to Shropshire and Southdown rams; £los 8d; ff.m. ditto, 17s 6d ; fat ewes, 16s Id ; empty ewes. 13s 4d; ewe lambs, 16s 7d; mixed ' lambs, 13s 6d; Southdown lambs, 12s Id*, fat wethers, 21s; breeding sow, £4: suckers, 6s 6d. Sundries and furniture fetched good value. On account of Mr D. MiDon. — 2, 4, 6th Romney ewes in lamb to Romney and English Leicester rams, 24s 8d; ff.m. ditto, 17s 2d; mixed lambs, 13s 7d; fat bullocks, £7 12s; 18mos to 2yr! steers, £3; forward cows, £4 9.5. We have to congratulate Mr Smith on the excellent arrangements made for the Bale.
