CATHOLIC BAZAAR.

The Catholic Bazaar continues to be a source of attraction to both townspeople and visitors. The results of the raffles last night are as follows: — Wedding cake, Mrs Hammond ; tea cosy, Mr Campion ; table centre, Mr Campion ; cushion, Mr Douglas ; fire screen, Miss Collins ; chip carved table, Mr Fisher ; cushion, Mies Woulfe ; cushion, Mr E. Doug las ; cushion, Miss Hale, Palmerston North ; tea cosy, Mr Campion ; hand painted plaque, Father O'Meara. The sheep guessing competition resulted in Mr Q. Hitch man secur ing the prize a gold medal (presented by Mr Ellis), he having guessed the exact weight, 149 Jibs) Mr Robert Durie came second (149&lb), and Mr ONeale, of Hawera, third, 147£lbs. Mr Hitchman donated his prize to the winner of the next sheep guessing competition. Ad attractive programme has been prepared for this evening, when Miss Long's pupils will give a dance called the " Irish Washerwoman." Miss Luxmoore will also give a Spanish dance and there will be the usual gavottes, hornpipes, etc. Musical items will be contributed by Mrs Diokaon and Miss Corrigan, and a recitation will be given by Miss Butler and a pianoforte solo by Mrs James As the Bazaar doses to-morrow there should be a record attendance this evening as every effort is being made to cater for the pleasure and entertainment of visitors.
