ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

An inquest was held to day concerning the death of Estella Maj Atkinson, aged twenty months, whe died on Saturday night as a result of a shock from swallowing caustic soda on Friday morning. The evidence showed that tbe mother ami child had visited a relative's hous< and the baby wandered into the washhouse and swallowed a quantity of liquid caustic soda. The child's neck, lips, and mouth were baity bur«[isa>jand she vomited blood. / verdict that death had been acci dental was returned.
