The inquest regarding the death of James Poulton, adjourned in consequence of the evidence given as to the alleged visit to the house of two men just prior to his death, conj eluded to day. Mrs Primrose, Poulton's housekeeper, contradicted the evidence of Mrs McPike as to two men forcing their way in and assaulting Poulton. Mrs Possel-Waite said that two men came to the house and her husband tried to push one of them out. Beyond that she heard no altercation. Albert M. Moore stated that on the night in question he and Alfred Watts visited the bouse about 10.80 o'clock, but not later. They only stopped about five minutes and did not enter the house. Watts corroborated this statement. The jury returned a verdict that deceased died from a diseased and fatty heart in a natural way.
