Many years ago he was in business with his late brother in the wholesale and retail crockery trado as Matheson Bros. Of late years he did v little travelling and selling on commission. Ho left home on 25th February, but as there was i nothing unusual about this no notice was taken. Nothing is known so far us to tho bullot wound in thb wrist. This Day. J. C. Matheson, whoso body was found in the harbour, leaves a widow, and a son, and two married daughters. Christchurch, This Day. A man named George Stoolo was killed on the railway works at Scargill, near Choviot, this morning.
