. Wellington,- This Day. The Agent-General's cablegram dated London, 13th, reports that stocks in mutton are light and firmly held in few hands, very little business is doing and prices are nominal. The market is very uncertain. Canterbury ssd ; other North Island mutton sd ; Riverplate 4fd ; better demand for lamb, Canterbury brand, ssd. Beef is dull, and stocks of New Zealand on hand are light, binds sd, fores 4d. Butter is steady, 1{ per cwt. Cheese is very firm at 59s per owt. Hemp remains steady, " Good fair Wellington " spot £32, January to March shipments £28.
