British Warships Ordered to Manilla.
TORTURING OF PRISONERS. (Per Press Association.) London, Dec. 18. Two British warships have beer ordered to Manilla, to protect Britist interests. Madrid, Dec. 18. News from Manilla states that the Spanish authorities are using the rach and thumb screws in torturing prisoners Forty-nine prisoners were placed in a covered pit and suffocated.
