The N.S-W. Budget.

(Per Press Association). Sydney, May 10. The Premier considers the New South Wales Budget undoubtedly means a return to freetrade. The feeling amongst commercial men is that the adoption of the policy will prove a great blow to Victoria's foreign trade which will go to a free port. In Sydney some are of the opinion that it will give a filip to Victorian manufacturers, while others consider it will have the opposite effect, believing that foreign traders "will take advantage of the free port to inundate New South Wales with cheap goods against which it -will be impossible to compete. The opinion is also expressed that it will retard federation. This Dav. Sir H. Parkes and Sir G, Dibbs have joined forces to defeat the Goyernment. London, May 10. The Daily Chronicle considers the Now South Wales budget an admirable piece of democratic statesmanship.
