Another most enjoyable and happy evening was spent in the Oddfellows’ hall. Pukekohe, on Saturday evening by members and friends of the Franklin Caledonian Society.
The Chief, Mr A. G. R. Sim. in extending a welcome (0 all. expressed ihe hope llial they would enjoy the evening. He (hen handed over Ihe programme to Mr G. Spence, who acted as masler of ceremonies. ’Flu' feature of Ihe evening was an item by Miss Grace Allcock, of Waiuku. who sang "A Farewell” and "The Piper rTom over Ihe Way.” Miss Allcock has a lovely voice and her songs were greatly appreciated.
The Monle Carlo waltz was won by Nurse Thomson and Air Sinclair, of St. Stephen's College. A dainly supper was provided by Ihe ladies, after which further dancing continued unii 1 midnight.
The music was supplied by the society mvheslra. Airs Ft. ,1. Campbell being aeeompauisfe. Another happy evening was brought to a close by Ihe company joining hands and singing "Auld Lang Syne."
