The many friends of Mrs A. Park Horne, of Buckland, will regret to hear that she has been admitted to Auckland Hospital. Mr W. F. .1. Munro, headmaster of the Pukekohe Technical High School, is confined to his home suffering from a prevailing complaint. Constable A. J. Johnston, of the Pukekohe Police Force, entered the Mater Hospital today to undergo an operation. Constable F. J. Blackburn, of Auckland. has arrived in Pukekohe to carry out relieving duties while Constable Johnston is on sick leave. Second Lieutenant A. G. Steele, of Pukekohe, has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He is serving with a New Zealand Military Force somewhere overseas. Messrs G. T. Parvin and C. E. Walter. J.P.’s, presided at (he regular sitting of the Pukekohe Police Court today. in Ihe unavoidable absence of Mr F. H. Levien, S.M.
