PUKEKOHE PAROCHIAL DISTRICT
CONSTITUTION AS A PARISH
“That this annual meeting of parishioners of Pukekohe, direct the Churchwardens and Vestry, to prepare and complete for presentation to the Bishop and Standing Committee in time for the next annual session of Synod, a petition that the Parochial District of Pukekohe be constituted a Parish within the meaning of the Parish Statute 1929.”
The foregoing resolution moved by Mr W. T. Cheeseman, and seconded by Mr G. Haslam, was carried unanimously at the annual meeting of Anglican parishioners held after Evensong last evening. The alteration in the Constitution will give the district certain privileges which it does not enjoy at present. The district has now complied with the provisions of the Church -Statutes and is entitled to have its status raised to that of a Parish.
