THE REV. W. G. M. HEERDEGEN DEPARTURE FOR AUSTRALIA The Rev. W. G. M. Heerdegen, vicar of Bombay and chaplain to St. Stephen’s school, was. is going to become Rector of Millthorpe, in the diocese of Bathurst, New South Wales, was farewelled by the South Auckland and Pukekohe Rugby Referees’ Associations recently.
The president of the South Auckland Rugby Union, Mr C. H. Jemison, on hehalf of the Referees’ Associations, presented Mr Heerdegen with a pipe. Speakers paid tribute to Mr Heerdegen’s ability as a referee, and the readiness with which he complied with requests, often at short notice, to control matches in any grade. All wished him success in his new position.
