OBITUARY
MRS GARBOLINO A RAAfARAMA PIONEER The death occurred recently of an - old pioneer of Ramarama in the person of Mrs Garbolino, in her 80th year. Although she was a great age, Mrs Garbolino had not been in illhealth for long, her illness only being the matter of days. Always interested in anything in connection with the district, Mrs Garbolino had attended the local flower show at the beginning of October, so that her death came as a shock to many. Coming out to this country from the Gape with her parents in the ship “Eveline,” she has lived practically all her life in Ramarama, except for a period after her marriage, when she and her husband lived at Mangawai. Mrs Garbolino was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John McCarthy. Her husband predeceased her 42 years ago. The deceased leaves a family of four daughters —Mrs M. Dromgoel, Tuakau, Mrs E. Henry, Te Akau. Mrs .T. Mahood, Te Akau, Mrs T. Johns, Morrinsville —and one son —Mr John Garbolino, of Ramarama. There are 20 grandchildren am] six great-grand-children. The funeral, which was largely attended, took place in the Ramarama Catholic cemetery last Friday.
