NATIONAL PRAYER
KING’S WISH FOR SEPTEMBER 7 SECOND ANNIVERSARY OF WAR His Excellency the Governor-Gen-eral, Sir Cyril Newall, has received the following ‘ message from the private secretary of his Majesty the King: The King desires that Sunday, September 7, being the Sunday following the second anniversary of the outbreak of war, should be observed as a National Day of Prayer. A message from London says that the Church of England does not propose io issue any new forms of prayer, and the clergy are advised that they may use the forms issued in May. 1940, and last March.
