LOCAL SOLDIERS ON LEAVE * PRESENTATI ON DANGE More local men of the Forces will be entertained al a pre- ~ sentation dance in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Pukekolie, on Wednesday next. A They are: Seaman J. Robertson, Corporal R. C. McNally. Lance-Cor-poral 11. Branch, Gunner L. Wright, Signallers G. Harvey and W. Smith, Drivers B. R. Elliot 1 and D. Bolwill, Privates \V. Crisp. W. Seed. L Higgins and any others the names of whom are not known to the Farewell - mg Committee. The guests of honour, members of the Returned Soldiers’ Association and the Pukekolie Municipal Band will meet al the Strand Theatre corner at 8.15 p.m. and will march to Ihe Oddfellows’ hall where Ihe members of the Second N.Z.E.F. will be received. Dancing will be indulged in to music vby Holt’s orchestra until about 10 o’clock when each man will be banded a gift from the citizers of Pukekolie. Good prizes are being offered for novePy dances. Pukekolie lias given its former representatives of the Navy, Army and Air Force a rousing send-off and there- is every reason to expect that next Wednesday’s function will be as well, if not better supported, than those held previously.
