nuui * ►•A i A Working hours varying from oi to 38 a week, according to the natuie of the factory, are provided for m the New Zealand Dairy Factories Award, which took effect from Monday. The award makes provision lor wages rising from £4 10s a ™eek for general hands to £5 14 for first assistants in the larger factories. These rates are much the same as in the previous award, but as far as cheese factories are -oncerned a suspension order, coming into operation, allows for a 48-hour week for 43 weeks, with the right to work four hours overtime at ordinary rates of pay- ______
