WELL-KNOWN PAPAKURA BOY PRIVATE A. VERNE R Advice has been received by Mr and Mrs* Fred Yerner of Papakura. that their son. Private. Arthur Yerner, has been wounded. Before enlisting he was a prominent player in the local Rugby League Football Club. “Arty" as as is populary known, worked in his father’s fruit' and confectionery business. Stanley Buildings. He was among the first local hoys to join up and left with the First Echelon.
