WEDDING BELLS

TAYLOR—ETHERINGTON CEREMONY AT PAPAKURA A very pretty wedding took place recently at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Papakura, between Mr W. J. Taylor, eldest son of Mr and Mrs E. J. Taylor, of Taihape, and Nance Ellen, daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Etherington, Marne Road, Papakura. The bride was charmingly gowned in an exquisite frock of cream lace over pink taffeta, the puffed sleeves, skirt and collar being trimmed with lace. Her veil was of a palest pink shade. She carried a shower bouquet of cream flowers with touches of pale pink. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs W. J. Aldridge, of New Plymouth, who wore a frock of deep pint; taffeta and carried a bouquet of pink and blue flowers. The church was beautifully decorated with pink lilies. Mr Ernest Taylor of Hunllv was best man. Mrs Etherington. mother of the bride, wore a frock of emerald green spot satin with large brown picture hat to match and carried a posy of yellow and brown flowers. Mrs Taylor, mother of (he bridegroom, wore a wine coloured silk crepe frock with hat to match and carried a posy of gold and wine flowers.

The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Father Lockwood. A reception was subsequently held at tiie Broadway Lounge. Among the guests present were: The Rev. H. Sinclair and Mrs Sinclair. Mr and Mrs Norman Etherington (Ohura). Mrs Kelly and file Misses Kelly (Hamilton). Mrs S. Livingston (Hamilton). Airs A. Ford (Tauranga) Mrs N. Smith (Otorohanga); Airs G. AAhite (Sydney). Airs and Aliss Alartin (Hamilton). Mr and Airs G. Stevenson. The happy couple received many useful, ornamental and costly presents including cheques. The bride travelled in a smart grey costume with grey breton sailor hat axd accessories.
