SOLDIERS FAREWELLED
FUNCTION AT TAKANINI MONEY BELTS PRESENTED A social function was held at Takanini on Thursday in the public hall to bib farewell to local residents who are leaving with the Second Echelon. They were: Second Lieutenant L. N. Wallace. Corporal F. R. Simmon and Gunner E. T. Moore. On behalf of the residents each man was presented with a money belt by Mr Wilson.
The following soldiers who left with the First Echelon. R. J. Mack. L. S Keane. FI. J. Pimn, A. D. Watkin and E. A. Porter are also to have a money belt sent to them.
