83 YEARS OF AGE
| MR PETER GRANT ! CELEBRATIONS AT PAPAKURA One of the most respected men in Papaluira. Mr Peter Grant of Opahehe road, attained Hie age of 83 on Friday. A celebration was held by the family at his borne when lie received many congratulations from relatives and friends. A huge birthday cube with. 83 candles was lit by and blown out by Mr Grant, to the accompaniment of the good wishes for good health and happiness for many years to come, by those present. The evening was spent in games and competitions in
which Mr Grant —who is still hale and hearty—.joined in. Those present were: Mr and Mrs D. Grant (Auckland), Mr and Mrs A. Grant (East Tamaki). Mr and Mrs W. F. Grant (Onehunga), Mr and Mrs G. Grant (Manurewa), Mr and Mrs R. T. Grant (Papakura), Mr and Mrs Smith (Papakura). and about 2~> grand and great-grandchildren. Mr Peter Grant lias been a g’’eat stalwart and supporter of the Papakura Methodist Church since it was built 30 years ago and an officer cf long standing.
