FAREWELL EVENING
TO MR AND MRS H. A. CORBETT DEPARTURE FROM PUKEKOHE W. A farewell evening-, arranged by residents of the district, was tendered Mr and Mrs TI. A. Corbett of Pukekohe West in the Carlton ball last Saturday evening. In making a presentation of two armchairs, Mr D. Bolwell referred to the many fine qualities of Mr and Mrs Corbett and the popular esteem in which they had been held during their 21 years’ residence in the district. He wished them every Success in their future. Mr Bolwell’s remarks were supplemented by Mr Moore. Games and musical numbers by Mrs F. M. Rogers passed a very enjoyable evening. A delectable supper was dispensed by the ladies of the district. Mr and Mrs Corbett leave for Papakura at the end of the month.
