Colts Beat Wesley College by Four Runs

BOWLERS ON TOP W. VOSAILAGI IN FORM INTERESTING CRICKET MATCH Two further matches in the Pukekohe Cricket Association’s competition were played on Saturday when Pukekohe Colts beat Wesley College by four runs on the first innings, and United and Power Board drew.

Both games were productive of exciting finishes. COLTS v. COLLEGE The Oolls-Coiiege match was played at the College. The visiting eleven hatted first and knocked up 67, Blake 43 being the only batsman able to stand up to the accurate bowling of W. Vosailagi, who bagged five wickets for seven runs. College replied with 62, Morgan 17, Vosailagi 13, being top scorers. Colts in their second strike made 64, R. Lawrie 30, being the sole run-getter to reach double figures. Vosailagi and Baillie each three for 17, shared the principal bowling honours. When slumps were drawn College, requiring 69 to win, were 20 short of that number with six wickets intact.
