RATE COLLECTION OUTSTANDINGS TOTAL £2048 In a statement made to Wednesday’s meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council, the town clerk, Mr W. T Cbeeseman, stated that rates in excess of a year’s revenue had been received for the period April 1, 1938, to March 15, 1939. The arrears of rates at April 1, 1938, were £2329 2s Gci The amount struck for the year ending March 31, 1939, was £12,099 10c. The total cash collected was £12,380 Is 2d, leaving £2048 11s id outstanding at March 15, 1939. The total cash collected -was therefore 102.31 per cent of the current year’s rates as compared with 100.86 pp.- cent for the corresponding period I«st year. Mr Qheeseman added that the nett credit balance at the bank at March 15 was £741 15s 2d.
