An extra heavy yarding of dairy cattle, including many choice lines, came forward at Alfred Buckland and Sons’ fortnightly sale at Pukekohe yesterday.
Bidding for all good quality dairy cows and heifers, close to profit, was keen and high values were realised. A line of pure-hred Jersey heifers in milk, sold on account of Mr T. A. MilJear, of Tuakau, made from lOgns. to 1 Cgns. Beef ami store cattle came forward in average numbers, beef selling well up to rates at Westfield on Wednesday. and competition was spirited.
