PEACE CUP RUGBY
WAIUKU v. R3ANIAPOTO .SATURDAY’S BIG AIATCH What should prove to be one of the best Rugby games of the season will take place at Rugby park, Waiuku, on Saturday between Waiuku, holders of the Peace cup, and Alaniapoto, the challengers. Alaniapoto is the leading sub-union team in the King Country Rugby district, and included in the side will be several of the players who have represented King Country this season. Waiuku, by its consistent and improving play, enjoys the reputation of being one of the best sub-union teams in the Auckland province. Its pack of forwards has’’not met its match so far this season, and as stated previously in these columns, it will require a good pack to shade it. Waiuku anticipate a hard game on Saturday and it will not J>e for the want of trying if the cup goes south. Rugby enthusiasts are assured of a great game from the kick-off ?.t. 2.30 p.m. until the final whistle.
PUKEKOHE v. FRANKLIN The Pukekohe and Franklin senior representative teams will try conclusions at Bledisloe Park, Pukekohe, on Saturday next. Play commences at 2 p.m. Mr R. Branch has been appointed referee.
