Sealing of PukekoheGlenmurray Highway.
TUAKAU SECTION. HIGHWAY BOARD APPROVES. Advice that the Main Highways Board had approved of the Tuakau Town Board carrying out the sealing of 48 chains of its section of the Pu-kekohe-Glenmurray highway was received at Monday evening’s meeting of the board. The estimated cost was set down at £4OO, and the work to be carried oul toward the end of Ihe summer. The intimation stated that a subsidy of £3 for £1 would be available when proposals were approved. It was decided to advise the Franklin County Council as to the proposal and to enquire whether it could see ils way clear to seal the portion from
the boundary to the Waikato river. Members felt that if the two contracts were carried out at the same time a better price might be obtained.
