A Record to be Proud of. ! A tine record was unfolded by Mr B. E. Pope at Hie Papakura League ! Football Club’s annual smoke concert ■on Thursday evening. In replying to the toast, “The Senior B team,” he said lie had only missed one match in 15 years (applause) and that match was when he had the misfortune to break a collarbone. During his football career a Times correspondent learned that Mr Pope played first of all Hugby for the Vernon street school for three years, t.licn afterwards for Marist Obi Boys for five years, from sixtli grade to third intermediate. For a year he plyed Hugby for the Manurewa club in the Manukau sub-union and was selected for the senior representatives. The following year he changed over and played Hie League game for Marisl in the third open, the team winning the championship. He then transferred to the Papakura League Club and has played four years with the club. Every team he has played in has won a championship or has been runner-up—a very enviable record.
