THEFT ALLEGED.
THREE MEN BEFORE COURT. REMANDS IN EACH CASE. The theft of a bag containing clothing and a parcel, the property of R. fGlasgow, of Onewhero, from a railway carriage at Mercer, was preferred against Francis Walsh and John Thomas Head in the Pukckohe Police Court to-day before Mr G. K. Lawric. J.P. They were remanded to appear be'fore the magistrate on Wednesday next. The men were arrested by Constable 11. J. Olsen, whom it was slated, had recovered the property. On Tuesday afternoon, James Gampbell, who was arrested at Puni by Constable G. Sutherland, was charged before Mr P. M. Armstrong. J.P.. with the theft of cutlery and books owned by E. J. Woodcock, of Lower Matakana. In this case accused was remanded to appear in Auckland.
