RAMBLERS' CLUB MEETS

There was a" fair attendance at the .annual meeting of the Ramblers ** Football Club held last evening, the president, Mr G. H. jemison, presiding. The club therefore fired the first shot in the 1933 RugTjy season as ftfr as Pukekohe is concerned. . Loss on Year's Working. The annual meeting of the Tuakau Football Club hold on Wednesday evening was most enthusiastic. There was at) attendance of sonic '»5 members, over whom Mr A. J." Maiden presldeYl. Gubh. it was decided on the motion of the president to recommend delegates to the sub-union to vote for the reforming of the Franklin Rugby Referees' Association. -. ; The thanks of the club were extended to the sub-union secretary for ; forwarding a copy of the balance sheet for perusal. It was decided that delegates be Instructed to vote at the sub-union meeting for the reduction of the affiliation fees to £2 for senior teams, £1 for c -junior teams and 10s for third grade

teams. A notice of motion is to be forwarded to the sub-union. I The application of the Pukekohe sub-union for a clearance for G. I Steele, of Buckland, was deferred un- ! til after the annual meeting of the Franklin sub-union. Delegates to the sub-union were instructed to oppose the granting of clearances to any clubs in the subunion.

, It was decided to enter a senior team 1 and a junior team for the inter-club competitions, and a third grade team, if possible. , j The matter of practice matches was : left to the committee to arrange. Votes of thanks were accorded to Mr ■ W. J. Taylor for the use of,the. trainj ing paddock and the erection of a light, and to the outgoing officials. PUKEKAWA CLUB. The Pukekawa Rugby Football Club's annual meeting held on Monday evening was attended by 25 members, Mr A. Logan presiding. A credit balance of £7 10s was reported. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the vice-patron, the late Mr D. Maloney. was carried in silence. Officers elected were: Patron, Mr K. P. Orr: vice-patron. Mr R. Bell; president. Mr A.
