HIS FIRST WIN.
PUSS MOTH IMPROVES. VICTORY AT TE RAPA. Messrs Roulston Bros.' three-year-old t»ay gelding, Puss Moth, CatminMidget, scored his' first 'success with the colours up in the Fairfield handicap, 6 furlongs, at Te Rapa, on Saturday. Puss Moth was installed favourite in a field of 30. From a smart beginning, Midget's son soon took up the role of pilot. A good finish resulted and Voitre' landed Puss Moth home first by a neck from the outsider, Book Law( which was 20th favourite. Puss Moth showed greatly improved form and he is bound to be beard of in the future. Puss Moth was bred by his owners and is trained by the local mentor, W. Townsend. Messrs Roulston Brothers received the congratulations of local sportsmen on Puss Moth's first victory.
