LODGE INSTALLATION.

On Wednesday evening the Loyal Pokeno Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F., held its half-yearly installation of officers, when the installing officer, Bro. S. J. Woodcock, P.G., delivered the charges and installed officers for the ensuing term as follows:

N.G., Bro. J. B. Mcllroy; V.G., Bro. A. . Johansson; E.S., Bro. H. J. Buckingham; 1.P.N.G., Bro. R. E. Woodcock.

' After the installation ceremony the installing officer addressed the officers and the members on their duties and made an earnest appeal for co-opera-tion, the newly-elected officers suitably responding. Bro. R. E. Woodcock paid a tribute to the excellent services of Bro. K. R. Munro, P.G., particularly in ritual work describing him as perhaps the finest ritualist that the lodge had produced. At the close of the meeting Bro. Mcllroy called on Bro. R. Woodcock to present, on behalf of the members, to Sis. and Bro. Clark Leathern, who were married recently, a beautiful cake stand. Bro. Leathern, in a very nicely worded speech, expressed great appreciation of the unexpected gift.

Bro. H. I. Buckingham was in charge of the social part of the evening and his programme of musical and elocutionary items and dancing was greatly enjoyed. Those contributing were: Sis. M. I. Seed and Bros. H. 1., and C. K. Buckingham. Sis. McKenzie played accompaniments. Bro. C. Halford supplied the dance music.
